This collaboration aims to provide users with advanced health tracking and personalized wellness solutions through Garmin's fitness trackers and Apollo’s healthcare expertise.
Garmin, a leader in fitness wearables, has partnered with Apollo HealthAxis, a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals, to offer a new range of health monitoring services in India.
This collaboration aims to provide users with advanced health tracking and personalized wellness solutions through Garmin's fitness trackers paired with Apollo’s healthcare expertise.
As part of the agreement, Apollo HealthAxis will include Garmin fitness trackers in select Apollo Health Plans.
This initiative will allow users to proactively monitor their health and receive real-time insights into their fitness and wellness levels.
Moreover, by integrating wearable technology with healthcare services, the partnership seeks to help users take control of their health more effectively.
A key component of the partnership agreement is the inclusion of Apollo ProHealth, a personalized health program powered by AI and designed by healthcare professionals.
Customers purchasing select Garmin fitness devices will gain access to this program, which offers personalized health guidance, predicts risks, and provides recommendations for better lifestyle management.
In a statement regarding the partnership, a spokesperson for Apollo HealthAxis said, "We believe this collaboration with Garmin will empower our users with actionable insights into their health. Apollo ProHealth is built to provide a comprehensive understanding of one's well-being, combining fitness data with medical expertise."
Beyond individual health tracking, the partnership will also focus on delivering healthcare services to underserved communities.
Garmin and Apollo will jointly work on a social responsibility initiative to improve healthcare access in rural India.
This initiative hopes to bridge the gap in health monitoring services available in remote areas by leveraging Garmin's wearable technology and Apollo's healthcare expertise.
Garmin’s representative highlighted this effort by saying, "Our partnership with Apollo goes beyond urban healthcare. We are committed to bringing innovative health solutions to rural India, where access to quality care is often limited. By combining Apollo's deep healthcare knowledge with our wearable technology, we aim to make health monitoring more accessible and effective for all."
This collaboration marks a significant step toward integrating health technology into the Indian healthcare system. By making Garmin devices a part of Apollo’s health plans, both organizations enable individuals to track and manage their health better, particularly in the post-pandemic era, where health awareness has surged.
"This partnership allows us to extend our healthcare services through the power of wearable technology. By offering our health plans and Garmin's fitness devices, we empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health, backed by reliable data and expert medical advice," the spokesperson from Apollo Hospitals commented.
