FUJIFILM India has launched its second-largest service center in Mumbai. The center focuses on repairing gastroscopes, bronchoscopes, and high-end processors. This expansion aims to improve service delivery and patient care across India.

The newly opened Mumbai center has advanced repair tools and technology to ensure quicker turnaround times for endoscope repairs.

Sharing thoughts, Jumpei Toyoda, endoscopy division, Fujifilm APAC, said, "The inauguration of the new service center in Mumbai marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide unparalleled support to our healthcare partners. Our focus on expanding our service capabilities reflects Fujifilm's dedication to innovation and excellence in the medical field."

Since 2018, FUJIFILM India has invested in building a robust service network for its endoscopy division. The company now operates five major service centers and two satellite centers across India.

Dheeraj Chaudhri, head, Endoscopy Division, Fujifilm, said, "We are pleased to reach this important milestone of increasing our after-sales service capabilities to more than 20 states now. We have developed a high-class repair center with all the facilities. We directly repair endoscopes in eight different service centers in various locations in the country.’’

In addition to infrastructure and manpower expansion, Fujifilm is also investing in the training and education of the paramedics and technicians of the hospital through various training and education programs in collaboration with many hospitals, Chaudhri revealed.

This step is to ensure that all the emergency and planned endoscopy procedures are least impacted in the hospital due to frequent accidental damages to the flexible endoscopes, which are one of the most delicate medical equipment in the endoscopy suites.

Fujifilm’s Latest Series of Developments

In a recent development, FUJIFILM India Healthcare Division, in collaboration with NM Medical Mumbai, launched its first Fujifilm Skill Lab for advanced training in full-field digital mammography (FFDM) technologies for radiologists and radiographers. The inaugural session saw the participation of eight candidates, including four radiologists and four radiographers.

Fujifilm also introduced Tracmotion, an Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) device, at Endocon 2024 in Delhi. Tracmotion offers a 360° rotatable retraction capability, allowing for precise tissue manipulation independent of the endoscope's movement.

In another development, Fujifilm India installed an Open MRI machine, "APERTO Lucent," at Vijaya Diagnostic Center in Hyderabad. This equipment aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort. The installation aligns with Fujifilm India's strategy to expand its presence in the Indian healthcare market.

Established in 2007, FUJIFILM India is a wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings, Tokyo. FUJIFILM India offers endoscopy systems, photo imaging solutions, electronic imaging, instant photo systems (Instax), optical devices, graphic communication solutions, multifunction printers, recording media & industrial products.
