Residents of Mumbai can now dial 022-4111 4111 to reach a Fortis hospital’s Level 1 trauma centers.

Fortis Hospitals in Mumbai has launched a unified 24/7 emergency helpline aimed at improving access to medical care in critical situations.

The initiative, which connects callers directly to the nearest Fortis hospital, is designed to enhance the city's emergency medical response.

Residents of Mumbai can now dial 022-4111 4111 to reach Fortis Hospital’s Level 1 trauma centers. This helpline ensures quick access to emergency medical services and aims to minimize delays, which are crucial for patient outcomes during medical emergencies. Supported by an extensive ambulatory network, the helpline provides consistent, reliable care across Greater Mumbai.

The new service seeks to address the challenge of timely medical intervention. By connecting people with hospitals located within a 5-7 km radius, Fortis aims to reduce response times and ensure patients are directed to appropriate care facilities without unnecessary delays.

#FirstCallFortis Campaign to Raise Awareness

As part of this initiative, Fortis has rolled out the #FirstCallFortis campaign to raise awareness about the new helpline number.

The campaign includes India’s first CGI-based digital advertisements in the healthcare sector, which aim to make the emergency number easily memorable and accessible to the public. The advertisements are being displayed in cinema theatres, shopping malls, bus shelters, hoardings, and various digital platforms across Mumbai.

The campaign is designed to ensure that Mumbai residents understand the importance of immediate access to emergency medical care. By embedding the helpline number into the city's daily environments, Fortis intends to make it a well-known resource that citizens can rely on during emergencies.

Dr S Narayani, Business Head of Fortis Hospitals Maharashtra, discussed the campaign's impact, stating, "Through the #FirstCallFortis campaign, we are showcasing not just our capabilities of being the largest emergency-prepared healthcare network in Greater Mumbai, but also the convenience of reaching out to us with an easy-to-remember number in time of a medical emergency. With an expansive network of four state-of-the-art hospitals across the MMR region, we are prepared to tackle emergencies of all nature. This integrated campaign hopes to get 022-4111 4111 on the speed dial of all Mumbaikars."

The campaign aims to reach over 10 lakh households by World Health Day on 7 April 2025, further spreading the message of emergency preparedness and the importance of quick access to medical care.

The introduction of the 24/7 helpline is part of Fortis Hospitals’ ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery in Mumbai. By ensuring fast access to Level 1 trauma centers, the helpline aims to address gaps in emergency medical services, particularly during critical moments when every second counts.

The integrated approach provides a robust network of hospitals and ambulances that can respond quickly to emergencies, potentially saving lives by reducing treatment delays.
