Fortis Healthcare has inaugurated a cutting-edge, multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, marking an addition to its network of healthcare facilities.
With an investment of approximately INR 6-7 Cr, the upgraded facility aims to enhance its capacity from 80 to 100 beds to accommodate the growing patient base.
This latest addition represents the fifth hospital in Fortis' existing network, with Bannerghatta serving as the largest facility among them.

The new hospital in Nagarbhavi is expected to benefit a large section of the population seeking healthcare services in Bengaluru.

In a similar expansion development, Max Healthcare Institute (MHIL) has unveiled plans to invest INR 2500 Cr to set up a 500-bed hospital at Shaheed Path, Lucknow.
This significant investment aims to elevate the standard of healthcare services in the city and surrounding regions. Alongside this development, the company also announced the renaming of Sahara Hospital to Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow.
Fortis Healthcare has ambitious plans for expansion, aiming to increase its bed capacity from 4,500 to 10,000 beds across India over the next five to seven years.
This growth strategy will involve both brownfield expansions of existing hospitals and acquisitions of new facilities.
Vinayak highlighted ongoing expansion projects, including plans to expand the hospital on Bannerghatta Road and launch the acquired Meodar Hospital in Manesar, which will add 450 beds to the Fortis network.
Vinayak also expressed Fortis' target for an EBITDA growth of around 20%. While refraining from making forward-looking statements, he expressed confidence in maintaining performance levels.
