Advantage Health Care India, an international summit that took place from April 26 to April 28, 2023, awarded Fortis with the prize.
Advantage Health Care India has recognized Fortis Healthcare, India's leading hospital chain, for its role in positioning India as the preferred destination for medical tourism. Fortis was recognized in seven of the twelve categories, with Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram receiving four awards in the fields of neurosciences, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, and surgical oncology. Fortis Hospital Noida received one award for liver transplant, and Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in Okhla received two awards in Pediatric Cardiac Sciences (Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery) and Interventional Cardiology.
Following a three-stage screening and filling out of application forms, healthcare providers were nominated in accordance with the eligibility criteria for the awards, which were then presented to the jury by applicants who had been shortlisted for each category. The last round involved facility visit by the audit committee. Ernst & Young and FICCI managed the award process.

The occasion saw cooperation from key agents and dignitaries from health ministries of 15+ nations. The event's theme was "One Earth, One Health," and the idea was to showcase and promote exclusive medical services and expertise provided by Indian healthcare providers. In addition, Fortis hosted more than 100 delegates at its flagship hospital, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, and introduced them to the hospital's technology and infrastructure. As a result, the attendees gained a deeper understanding of Fortis' international treatment protocols.
