Femtech Startup Gynoveda Unveils Second Clinic in Pune

Gynoveda, has been leveraging a unique blend of Ayurveda, technology, content, and community to address various menstrual and fertility-related disorders.


Gynoveda, an Indian Ayurveda fertility company, has recently inaugurated its second fertility clinic in Pune marking a significant stride in its mission to empower couples on their path to parenthood.

The new clinic, launched in Pune’s Viman Nagar, will offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to diverse needs, with certified doctors providing personalized consultations aimed at optimizing health and fertility outcomes, it said.

Gynoveda, has been leveraging a unique blend of Ayurveda, technology, content, and community to address various menstrual and fertility-related disorders.

It also provides FDA-approved and NABL-certified Ayurvedic medicines for these disorders.

Rachana Gupta, cofounder of Gynoveda, emphasized the company's commitment to its mission, stating, "In India, where 30 million couples struggle with infertility every year, we are very committed towards our mission of enabling couples to fulfill their dreams of becoming parents."

Gynoveda’s Expansion Plans

Founded in 2019, by the trio of Vishal Gupta, Rachana Gupta, and Dr Aarati Patil, Gynoveda claims to have helped in 11,000 childbirths and impacted the lives of 10 million couples across India.

The fertility clinic now aims to expand its footprint through 100 clinics across India within the next three years.

With an estimated 30 million Indian couples facing infertility challenges annually, Gynoveda aims to confront the complexities of infertility head-on and provide effective treatment options.

Dr Aarati Patil, chief doctor-Gynoveda, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the seamless integration of Ayurveda with personalized attention and care as a hallmark of Gynoveda's approach.

The expansion comes on the heels of Gynoveda's successful Series A funding round in March 2023, where the company raised $10 million.

India’s Femtech Space

Femtech, a term coined by Danish entrepreneur Ida Tin, refers to the integration of science and technology to develop solutions for the health and wellness of women.

Globally, the femtech market has seen a significant rise. In India, it is poised to grow at a healthy rate of 17% from 2020 to 2026. India has more than 300 femtech companies accounting for 5% of the total global companies.

Femtech digital platforms and mobile applications leveraging technology to cater to women's health and wellness needs.

For example, Niramai is a digital health startup that offers a breast cancer detection solution using artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Similarly, BabyChakra is an online platform that connects parents with pediatricians and other childcare services, which has raised over $17 million in funding.

With the rise in telemedicine, e-pharmacies, remote monitoring, and digital healthcare devices, femtech startups are enabling access to healthcare for women, especially in Tier III and IV cities.
