Falcon ICU, a division of Critical Care Unified (CCU), has launched its second Smart ICU unit in Mumbai in collaboration with Mahajan Hospital, Navi Mumbai.
The initiative aims to strengthen critical care services for mid-sized hospitals, which often struggle with ICU infrastructure and specialized medical personnel.
The newly established ICU has advanced monitoring systems, real-time patient tracking, and technology-driven interventions designed to enhance survival rates and improve recovery outcomes.
Falcon ICU has outlined an ambitious plan to invest in approximately 3,000 ICU beds across mid-sized hospitals in India over the next five years, focusing on metro and rural areas. Internationally, CCU has expanded into Nairobi, Kenya, with an additional 1,000 Falcon ICU beds planned to cater to the East African market.
“Falcon ICU has ambitious plans to invest in approximately 3,000 ICU beds across mid-sized hospitals in India over the next five years, focusing on metro and rural cities. Internationally, CCU aims to add another 1,000 Falcon ICU beds, including its recent expansion into Nairobi, Kenya, catering to the East African market,” said a spokesperson.
Mahajan Hospital, a 50-bed super-specialty facility, will now offer upgraded ICU services with Falcon ICU’s technology-driven approach. Dr Pradeep Mahajan, Mahajan Hospital's medical director, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating that the integration of new ICU solutions will significantly improve patient care.
“Falcon ICU’s technology-enabled solutions will greatly enhance patient care and treatment outcomes at our facility. Many mid-sized hospitals face challenges in critical care infrastructure, and this partnership is a step towards bridging that gap,” Dr Mahajan stated.
Dr Avdhut Kulkarni, Senior Intensivist at Falcon ICU, emphasized the pressing need for enhanced ICU services in mid-sized hospitals, many of which operate with limited resources.
“Our mission is to bridge this gap with state-of-the-art ICU setups. Falcon ICU’s partnerships with hospitals will combine technology, expertise, and efficient management to make quality critical care more accessible,” he said.
