Designed to streamline the OPD process, these kiosks allow patients to complete registration independently and, if necessary, proceed with payments at the counter or through online options.
In a move to improve patient convenience and efficiency, NIMHANS has launched an Integrated and Automated OPD Registration Block, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing digital transformation efforts.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including NIMHANS Director Prathima Murthy, Registrar Dr. Shankarnarayana Rao, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Muralidharan, with Dr. Arvind, Deputy Medical Superintendent and Finance Advisor Mr. Harsha also present.
The newly introduced registration kiosks offer patients the convenience of self-registration, eliminating the need to wait in traditional queues. Designed to streamline the OPD process, these kiosks allow patients to complete registration independently and, if necessary, proceed with payments at the counter or through online options.
In addition, the system provides an opportunity for patients to complete their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) registration during their OPD registration. This integration enables patients to manage their healthcare data efficiently, aligning with national initiatives to digitize medical records and improve healthcare access.
The kiosks are part of a broader digital modernization drive at NIMHANS aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
These upgrades improve patient flow, reduce waiting times, and underscore NIMHANS's commitment to adopting technology-driven solutions for better healthcare delivery.
With these advancements, NIMHANS continues positioning itself as a forward-thinking healthcare institution, supporting Karnataka’s public health goals and India’s larger digital health transformation.
