LCCI Hyderabad will specialize in cutting-edge domains such as automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering, and cloud computing.

Eli Lilly and Company has announced plans to establish a new global capability center in Hyderabad. This would be the company's second such center in India after the Lilly Capability Centre India (LCCI) in Bengaluru.

The Hyderabad center, to be named LCCI Hyderabad, will recruit over 1,000 highly skilled professionals to enhance the company’s digital strategy and service delivery globally.

LCCI Hyderabad will specialize in cutting-edge domains such as automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering, and cloud computing.

The center aims to develop advanced technological solutions to meet Lilly’s evolving global business needs.

“Our teams in India are central to Lilly’s global operations, delivering scalable and innovative solutions. LCCI Hyderabad will expand these capabilities, helping us meet business demands and leverage technology more effectively,” said Manish Arora, Managing Director, LCCI Hyderabad.

Support from Telangana Govt

The initiative has been welcomed by the Telangana government, with Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT and Industries, highlighting Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a hub for healthcare innovation.

“This investment underscores Hyderabad’s ability to attract top-tier talent and global healthcare leaders,” he said.

Diogo Rau, Lilly’s Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer, emphasized the center’s role in tackling significant health challenges.

“LCCI Hyderabad will unite engineers across disciplines to create advanced tools and technologies, accelerating the delivery of next-generation medicines worldwide,” Rau stated.

Lilly plans to employ 1,000 to 1,500 professionals, including technology engineers and data scientists.

Recruitment for the center is already underway, and operations are set to begin by mid-2025. This will position Hyderabad as a key node in Lilly’s global innovation network.
