Now, we are geared to invest INR 225 Cr to establish 10 more centers in Mumbai and Pune over the next 12 to 18 months.'

The sprawling 7, 500 sq mtr facility, located at Signature Business Park at Chembur, the facility promises tech-enabled services for the ease of patients.

Commenting on the same, Dr Adil Agarwal, CEO, Dr Agarwal's Eye Hospitals, said, 'œOur efforts to expand in Mumbai are aimed at improving accessibility and reducing waiting times, all while integrating state-of-the-art technology. We intend to cover the entire Central Line in the next six months, with further expansion plans for the Western and Harbour lines within the next two years. Maharashtra has been a key region witnessing remarkable growth in our services.'

He added, the hospitals' growth in Maharashtra has been significant, with hospital  numbers increasing from four in FY20 to a commendable 20 today. 'œ

We have set our sights on adding 5 more hospitals in the next 6 months. Our long-term vision involves exploring untapped markets in Maharashtra, including Nagpur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Akola, and Nanded, to reach an ambitious total of 50 hospitals in the state.'

The range of services includes cataract surgery, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and laser vision correction. Additionally, the facility offers in-house anesthesia, many diagnostic tools, optical services, and specialised doctors daily from 10 am to 7 pm.

Having originated as a solitary establishment in Chennai in 1957, Dr Agarwal's Group of Eye Hospitals has expanded into a network of 151 centres, encompassing 140 hospitals and 11 eye clinics across India and Africa. This network is upheld by a workforce of more than 500 ophthalmologists and approximately 3,500 employees.
