Pune-based healthtech startup, DeepTek.ai, has unveiled Augmento X-Ray, a CADe Chest X-ray AI solution. It is designed to significantly reduce radiologist workload and improve the quality of chest X-ray reporting.
Augmento X-Ray is a cloud-based platform that uses AI to pre-screen all studies and present their results to the radiologist, who can approve or modify them at the click of a button.
The newly unveiled X-ray equipment has been cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to perform accurate and reliable chest X-ray analysis, revealed the company affirming its commercial availability.
Expressing his thoughts, Ajit Patil, cofounder, DeepTek.ai said, “Augmento X-ray represents a significant breakthrough in AI-powered medical imaging. With the US FDA clearance, Augmento X-Ray is now available in the US market, and we look forward to expanding our reach in this important market, helping healthcare providers deliver better care to their patients.”
Augmento X-ray seamlessly differentiates chest radiographs without suspicion from those with suspicions. Moreover, it helps reduce the backlog of chest X-rays, improving the radiology workflow and enhancing overall patient care.
Founded in 2017 by Ajit Patil and Amit Kharat, DeepTek.ai is a healthcare technology startup. It aims to equip healthcare caregivers with the power of AI and bridge the gap in the imaging sector. DeepTek.ai’s products include Augmento, which diagnoses 22+ pathologies from X-rays, MRI, and CT scans; Genki, which manages the workflow efficiently in population screening programs; and teleradiology services, which provides prompt and efficient teleradiology services to the global imaging marketplace.
Going forward, DeepTek.ai is preparing to venture into the US market with its new product launch and FDA approvals. Further, it plans to leverage its expertise in radiology AI solutions for radiologists, imaging experts, physicians, patients, governmental decision-makers, and not-for-profit organisations.
In a similar development, Quere.ai’s AI-enabled chest x-ray solution qXR received FDA clearance for critical conditions. The solution is capable of triaging pneumothorax (PTX) and pleural effusion (PE), both posing formidable challenges in emergency medical settings.
The clearance expands Qure's existing FDA-cleared product lineup, including qXR-BT for breathing tube placement, qER for emergency room head CT scans, and qER-Quant for head CT quantification software.
