The partnership will help integrate hospital-based treatment with home-based support services, optimize outcomes, and enhance patient experience.

Bengaluru-based Cytecare Hospitals, a multi-specialty provider, has partnered with Portea Medical, an outside-of-hospital healthcare provider, to offer seamless and personalized homecare services for patients.

The collaboration aims to integrate comprehensive and coordinated care for its patients, providing hospital-based treatment with home-based support services and enhancing patient experience.

Commenting on the partnership, Suresh Ramu, cofounder & CEO, Cytecare Hospitals, said, “As leading healthcare service providers, both our organizations aim to offer high-quality and affordable services for the diverse needs of patients in a holistic manner. This collaboration allows us to leverage each other’s strengths and adopt a comprehensive approach to patient care.”

What does the Partnership offer?

As part of the partnership, patients undergoing treatment at Cytecare Hospital and those in recovery can avail themselves of a wide range of in-home healthcare services through Portea.

These include nursing care, physiotherapy, rental and on-sale medical equipment, and medication delivery.

It will also help provide patients with a smooth continuum of care, from initial diagnosis and treatment at Cytecare’s facilities to post-treatment care and support provided by Portea at home.

Vaibhav Tewari, cofounder & CEO, Portea Medical said, “Our experience demonstrates that receiving care at home not only positively impacts the emotional well-being and quality of life of patients but also fosters a profound sense of comfort and security.”

Additionally, the collaboration facilitates greater patient engagement by providing education, resources, and tools to help patients actively participate in decision-making regarding their treatment and self-care.

Founded in 2013 by serial entrepreneurs K Ganesh, Meena Ganesh, and Vaibhav Tewari, Portea is an out-of-hospital healthcare brand. The company offers home visits to doctors, nurses, nursing attendants, and physiotherapists. It also provides a collection of lab samples.

Apart from medical care, Portea offers its customers assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, and caregiver support.

The company has evolved its service offerings to address a diverse range of healthcare needs including post-operative care, chronic disease management, and mental health support as well.

Cytecare Hospitals recently expanded its scope of services beyond oncology to include advanced diagnostic capabilities and state-of-the-art treatment modalities across various medical disciplines.

The hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services including orthopedics, gynecology, neurology, neurosurgery, gastroenterology, nephrology, emergency, and critical care, to cater to diverse healthcare needs.

This expansion also encompasses ancillary services such as diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, rehabilitation therapy, and preventive health screenings.

By diversifying its service offerings, Cytecare Hospitals aims to address the evolving healthcare needs of its patients and uphold its commitment to delivering excellence in healthcare.
