The Chief Minister urged medical students to adopt emerging technologies such as deep tech to ensure advanced healthcare solutions.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the transformative potential of technology in healthcare during the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Mangalagiri.
He noted that medical science has evolved into "Medtech Science," enabling remote patient care and reducing hospital visits to critical cases.
The Chief Minister urged medical students to adopt emerging technologies like deep tech to ensure advanced healthcare solutions.
Naidu announced the allocation of an additional 10 acres of land to AIIMS Mangalagiri, paving the way for its expansion into a premier healthcare and research hub.
He highlighted upcoming projects, including collaborations with Medtronic, IITs, and the development of a Research Block and a School of Public Health.
He assured attendees that the state government would support AIIMS management’s request for additional land in Kolanukonda village.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed his vision of Amaravati as a "future city of India" and a hub for world-class healthcare.
He praised the state’s contributions to AIIMS, including approach roads, power, water, and national highway connectivity.
Currently ranked eighth among 20 operational AIIMS in the country, Naidu expressed confidence that AIIMS Mangalagiri could rise to the top with its commitment to affordable healthcare services, offered at just INR 10.
Naidu commended President Droupadi Murmu as an inspiration, lauding her journey from humble beginnings to the nation’s highest office.
He also echoed the sentiments of AIIMS Director Dr Madhabananda Kar on the importance of integrating technical knowledge with medical education.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism about AIIMS excelling in research, patient care, and innovation.
Reflecting on his campus tour, Naidu humorously remarked on his wish to "study again" at AIIMS Mangalagiri, acknowledging its high standards of education and facilities.
The Chief Minister thanked the Union government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allocating 11 national institutions to Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation.
He also credited former Union Health Minister JP Nadda for laying the foundation stone for AIIMS Mangalagiri. He expressed optimism for its continued development under the current Union Health Minister of State, Prataprao Jadhav.
Looking ahead, Naidu outlined plans to invest INR 53,000 Cr in Amaravati over the next three years.
He also acknowledged the support of the IT Minister and Mangalagiri MLA Nara Lokesh in advancing the growth of AIIMS. Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and other state leaders attended the event.
