New Delhi-based City Imaging & Clinical Labs has planned to expand its services across North India to improve its diagnostic capabilities by partnering with more hospitals.
The company, already associated with 10 hospitals, intends to extend its network over the next five years, targeting facilities with at least 50 beds. As part of the expansion, the company plans to offer various diagnostic services to hospitals, allowing clinical teams to focus on treatment without worrying about lab services.
City Imaging & Clinical Labs provides comprehensive lab management services, including 24/7 in-house phlebotomy and lab testing. Several of these laboratories are accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), ensuring they meet high diagnostics and patient care standards.
The expansion will leverage cutting-edge technology, a corporate quality assurance (CQA) team, and a robust laboratory information management system (LIMS) to ensure consistency across all centers.
Dr Aakaar Kapoor, CEO of City Imaging & Clinical Labs, highlighted the significance of the expansion, saying, "Our initiative will transform how hospital labs are managed in India. We plan to expand our services to over 50 hospitals with 50 beds or more across North India from the existing labs by March 2027. Our expertise will enable hospitals to deliver better patient care and detect critical conditions before they escalate."
Dr Kapoor stressed the importance of quality and accuracy in medical reporting, stating, "The quality of medical reporting is fundamental to successful treatment. Misdiagnosis or delays can result in poor outcomes, so our focus on precision is critical."
To maintain this focus on quality, City Imaging & Clinical Labs has implemented a centralized quality assurance program that ensures consistent standards across all locations.
The company also offers continuous training for lab staff to ensure they are well-equipped to maintain the highest standards of diagnostic care.
"Our centralized QA team ensures uniform, world-class standards at all our centers, motivating staff to maintain high quality across the board," said Dr Kapoor.
In addition to lab services, the company offers radiology services at select locations, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. These images are transmitted via Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and reported using teleradiology.
Furthermore, the company provides radiology services in certain lab models, with the added advantage of tele-reporting to speed up diagnosis and treatment decisions.
