The collaboration formalized through a MoU, aims to improve cancer care in Mauritius by leveraging HCG's expertise in clinical and OPD services.

C-Care, a leading healthcare provider in Mauritius, has entered into a strategic partnership with Healthcare Global Enterprises Limited (HCG), an Indian leader in oncology-focused healthcare services.

The collaboration formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to improve cancer care in Mauritius by leveraging HCG's expertise in clinical and outpatient consultation (OPD) services.

Under this partnership, HCG will provide specialized clinical services at the C-Care Cancer Center, located within C-Care Darné in Floréal. HCG's oncology specialists will deliver these services, offering Mauritian patients access to advanced, personalized cancer treatments.

The Partnership Agenda

The collaboration between C-Care and HCG focuses on five key areas: enhancing clinical services, training and knowledge-sharing, advanced diagnostic services, patient referrals, and maintaining high standards of care.

HCG's involvement will ensure that Mauritian patients receive treatment from oncologists who are skilled in managing complex cancer cases.

In addition to clinical services, the partnership will facilitate nuclear medicine training for C-Care's medical staff.

This training, provided by HCG experts, aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of C-Care’s team, improving the overall quality of patient care. Nuclear medicine, which involves radioactivity for medical diagnosis and treatment, is a critical component of modern cancer care.

Raj Gore, CEO of HCG, said, “We are committed to providing personalized, advanced, and precise cancer care to the citizens of Mauritius. This collaboration will significantly enhance the quality of care and provide opportunities for C-Care's medical team to expand their expertise through collaborative training and knowledge exchange."

The partnership also includes provisions for referring patients to HCG for advanced diagnostic services, such as PET scans. Patients from C-Care will have access to both conventional and digital PET scans at preferential rates, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive follow-up.

Hélène Echevin, CEO of C-Care Group, emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating, "By leveraging HCG's expertise, we aim to improve the quality of cancer care available in Mauritius and ensure our patients can access the best possible treatment options. This collaboration will also enable our teams to achieve a high level of quality in all aspects of cancer, even the most complex."

Focusing on clinical services and the professional development of healthcare teams, this collaboration is expected to enhance the overall quality of oncology care in the region.
