Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), recognized as India’s premier not-for-profit enabler organization in the deep tech innovation space, has joined hands with Indegene to help early-stage life sciences startups accelerate technology innovation, product development, and go-to-market.
This multi-year partnership will entail Indegene providing financial assistance, mentorship from specialized experts, and a digital service suite to bolster C-CAMP’s efforts in nurturing at least 5-7 early-stage deep-science startups within a comprehensive ecosystem
Further, this initiative aligns with Indegene’s goal of enabling future-ready healthcare globally.
Through this collaboration, the aim is to leverage C-CAMP’s incubation program to fortify the life sciences innovation landscape in India and expedite the introduction of new drugs and therapies to the market.
Sharing thoughts, Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, CEO & director, C-CAMP, said, “Our incubation is a comprehensive support program, with top-end technology access and lab facilities. Starting a little more than a decade ago, we have incubated almost 100 startups, present and graduated, that have had a game-changing impact on healthcare, agriculture, and the environment in India and beyond.
He further emphasized that through this partnership, the primary focus lies in enhancing their capacity for providing incubation support and facilitating startup access.
According to him, the goal is to ensure that a greater number of groundbreaking innovations receive world-class support to address real-world challenges and reach people effectively.

C-CAMP is recognized as a prominent innovation and technology hub in India, boasting one of the country's largest life sciences incubation facilities.
Meanwhile, Indegene operates as a digital-focused company specializing in the commercialization of life sciences. Its services cater to biopharmaceutical, emerging biotech, and medical device companies, aiding them in product development, market-entry, and overall growth throughout the product lifecycle in a contemporary and efficient manner.
Recently, C-CAMP collaborated with the Government of Karnataka's Health and Family Welfare Department and ACT For Health for the Comprehensive Eye Care Program in Karnataka.
This program aims to leverage innovative, indigenous health technology to address the pressing need for eye care services across the state.
Also, Thermo Fisher Scientific, a prominent scientific services company, has partnered with C-CAMP to establish a Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
This collaborative effort aims to serve as a hub for innovation in the biotechnology sector, offering researchers the infrastructure and expertise necessary for breakthroughs.
In another development, Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Infosys, in partnership with C-CAMP, launched the project ‘Early Life’ in Karnataka.
The ‘C-CAMP-Infosys Foundation Project Early Life’ initiative aims to improve healthcare services for pregnant women and infants in the state.
C-CAMP has also been actively involved in fostering innovation in healthcare beyond Karnataka. Through a MoU with the Medical Education & Research Department (ME&RD), Government of Assam, C-CAMP aims to strengthen public health infrastructure and promote technology adoption among healthcare practitioners.
This collaboration sought to improve early screening and detection of retinopathy of prematurity, a common eye disease affecting premature babies and newborns.
