Biotres is a compact three-channel connected cardiac monitor, filling a critical gap in the market by offering multiple ECG channels, various sensors, rechargeability, and connectivity within a compact patch form factor.

US-based Biotricity Inc, a Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) company specialising in remote cardiac monitoring within consumer healthcare, filed a patent application for its Biotres device.

Incorporating Biotres' features, exclusive three-channel system, various sensors, a distinctive design, and compact size.

It is a three-channel connected cardiac monitor, filling a critical gap in the market by offering multiple ECG channels, various sensors, rechargeability, and connectivity within a compact patch form factor.

Its capabilities include up to 30 days of recording and wireless connectivity for automated data offloading and remote ECG views, significantly reducing results wait time.

This invention addresses a significant limitation in compact devices, which previously lacked multiple channels, thus compromising cardiac diagnostic accuracy.

Commenting on the importance of this patent filing, Dr Waqaas Al-Siddiq, CEO of Biotricity, said, "This filing is part of our broader strategy of continually expanding our IP portfolio with trade secrets and patents."

Dr Al-Siddiq underlined that such strategic moves safeguard intellectual property, enhance market share, and heighten entry barriers.

The device facilitates seamless remote access to ECG data for physicians and enables patients to report symptoms effortlessly through an intuitive app, thereby enhancing clinician response time.

With Biotres, medical professionals can improve patient outcomes, enhance patient safety, and empower patients with real-time cardiac monitoring.

Established in 2012 in California, Biotricity Inc is a healthcare technology firm primarily dedicated to providing remote biometric monitoring solutions to healthcare professionals and consumers.

Their offerings include diagnostic and post-diagnostic solutions for chronic conditions and lifestyle enhancement.

Looking ahead, the company foresees the submission of two more patents this year, aligning with its ongoing progress.
