Bengaluru-based Kauvery Hospital has inaugurated '˜Kauvery Ambulance Responsive and Emergency Service' (KARES) in the garden city of India.
Under the initiative, 15 state-of-the-art ambulances were inaugurated which reportedly will be stationed within a 10 km radius of prime locations in the city.
The purpose of this initiative is to serve a broader population and prioritise time-saving measures, ensuring rapid response. Furthermore, with this initiative, the Bengaluru hospital aims to achieve timely transportation to nearby hospital facilities, with the purpose of expediting diagnoses and minimising or preventing disabilities.
This initiative is said to offer swift and precise intervention for stroke, cardiac, spine, and head injuries. This is facilitated by advanced radiology equipment and a dedicated team of neuro and cardiac sciences experts available around the clock.
Established in 1999, Kauvery Hospital is a multi-speciality hospital chain in India. Equipped with a comprehensive emergency department, the hospital has established its branches in Chennai, Hosur, Salem, Bengaluru, and Tirunelveli.
Moreover, the hospital provides a range of medical services in areas such as cardiology, nephrology, urology, neurology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, and geriatrics with a goal to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to all segments of society
With KARES, they aim for timely emergency management saving lives, including those of the economically challenged.
Providing healthcare services on the go with mobile ambulance service has been in vogue these days. For instance, in August, this year, RED.Health, India's emergency response network, joined forces with Vijaya Group of Hospitals to introduce its 10-minute ambulance network in Chennai. This step was taken to cater to the city's evolving healthcare demand.
In the same month, a Delhi-based emergency response provider Medulance Healthcare added up to 400 ambulances in partnership with the Government of Delhi, for advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) in the NCR region. The initiative further aimed to offer better turnover time (TAT), which directly impacts mortality rates.'¯
