The new iExaminer Pro System aims to assist healthcare professionals in advancing their ability to diagnose and examine patients' eye health more efficiently.
Commenting on the same, Jim O'Connell, president of front-line care at Baxter, said, "The iExaminer Pro System enhances healthcare professionals' tools, allowing for improved efficiency in patient care."
The system, integrated with the PanOptic Plus Ophthalmoscope, empowers clinicians to capture digital images using a smart device, enabling a seamless transition from an optical examination to digital image capture.
This technology facilitates the secure storage and sharing of eye images, fostering better tracking and informed consultations with specialists.
Julie Jakubowski, MD, FACP, head of medical affairs at front-line care, Baxter, said, "The ability to examine eye structure is vital in assessing overall patient health. The PanOptic Plus Ophthalmoscope, paired with the iExaminer Pro System, aids healthcare providers in early issue detection collaboration with specialists and ensures timely patient diagnosis and treatment."
The PanOptic Plus and MacroView Plus tools offer larger views than standard ophthalmoscopes and otoscopes. They feature long-lasting LED lamps and DuraShock technology for increased durability.
This new offering is now available in the United States. It will be exhibited at the upcoming American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference & Exhibition and American Academy of Family Physicians Family Medicine Experience conferences.
