Bajaj Allianz Launches ‘HERizon Care’, a Women-Centric Health Insurance Plan

The plan addresses critical illness, reproductive health, and legal expenses.

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has introduced HERizon Care, a health insurance plan exclusively designed for women. The plan addresses critical illness, reproductive health, and legal expenses.

The policy offers two primary covers—Vita Shield and Cradle Care—to protect women at different life stages financially.

According to Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, HERizon Care is India's first health insurance plan to integrate multiple specialized benefits within a single policy. It covers a range of healthcare expenses, including infertility treatment, assisted reproductive technology, maternity care, adoption costs, and egg freezing.

The policy also provides coverage for congenital disabilities and prophylactic surgeries.

Additionally, it extends financial protection to surrogate mothers and oocyte donors, making it a broad-spectrum plan for women’s health.

The company stated that the policy also includes legal expense coverage for cases related to sexual assault, acid attacks, and kidnapping. In a notable inclusion, HERizon Care extends health coverage to live-in partners, further broadening its scope.

Vita Shield, one of the policy's two main covers, protects against 34 critical illnesses, including general and female-specific conditions.

The coverage can be expanded with optional benefits such as financial support for child education in case of a critical illness diagnosis, assistance for job loss due to health-related issues, and incidental expense coverage for reconstructive surgery, physiotherapy, home nursing, post-surgical implants, and rehabilitation counseling.

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance also highlighted the wellness ecosystem integrated within HERizon Care, offering policyholders access to community support, dietary consultations, emotional wellness programs, teleconsultations, and preventive health check-ups.

The company emphasized that these services promote early detection and long-term well-being.
