The 300-bed facility, which will focus on high-end obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatric services, is expected to be fully operational by mid-FY26.
Aster DM Healthcare, one of India's leading healthcare providers, has announced plans to establish the largest Women and Children’s Hospital in Hyderabad.
The 300-bed facility, which will focus on high-end obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatric services, is expected to be fully operational by mid-FY26.
The company will invest INR 220 Cr in the project, which will cover 3 Lakh sq ft. This expansion reinforces Aster’s mission to provide specialized healthcare services tailored to women and children.
The upcoming hospital will address the growing healthcare needs in maternal and pediatric care, offering a wide range of services. These include advanced obstetrics, neonatal care, reproductive health, and gynecological care.
The facility will house 100 critical care beds, 10 modular operation theaters, and luxury birthing suites, underscoring its focus on high-quality patient care.
The hospital will have advanced medical technologies, including a Cath lab, MRI, CT, ECMO, IVUS, EBUS, and ERCP machines.
This state-of-the-art equipment is expected to support comprehensive maternal and pediatric care, particularly in emergencies. A dedicated 24/7 emergency department will also be part of the hospital’s offering, ensuring prompt access to medical attention.
Dr Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, said, “Aster Women & Children Hospital Hyderabad will set new benchmarks in obstetric and pediatric healthcare, offering a wide array of super-specialty services. The new hospital aligns with the group’s mission and commitment to delivering quality and affordable healthcare to the large population of not only Hyderabad but all of South India. The focus on the unique healthcare needs of children and women underscores our dedication to addressing these needs.”
Currently, there are limited options for full-fledged hospitals offering super-specialty services in these fields. Aster DM’s facility aims to fill this gap by providing advanced medical care in one of India’s most important healthcare markets.
Aster already operates a 158-bed multi-specialty hospital, Aster Prime, in Hyderabad. The new Women & Children’s Hospital will build on this existing presence, offering targeted services to a growing demographic.
Aster DM Healthcare is on track to add 2,000 more beds across India by FY27, bringing its total bed capacity to 6,800. This expansion includes a mix of brownfield and greenfield projects, including the upcoming Aster Capital in Trivandrum and Aster MIMS Kasargod and capacity additions at existing hospitals.
The company has earmarked INR 1,200 Cr for these expansion plans, aiming to become one of India’s top three integrated healthcare providers.
Future growth will also focus on labs and pharmacies across Aster’s geographical footprint and potential market entries in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
