Aster DM Healthcare to Invest INR 850 Cr in Kerala’s Healthcare Expansion

Aster DM Healthcare's leadership, including Founder Dr Azad Moopen and Director Anoop Moopen, recently met with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Minister P Rajeev to discuss growth opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Aster DM Healthcare has announced plans to invest INR 850 Cr in Kerala over the next three years to enhance infrastructure, medical services, and job creation. 

This follows an earlier investment of INR 500 Cr in the state during the past three years.

The investment aligns with the 'Invest Kerala Global Summit' initiative in Kochi, aimed at attracting high-impact investments. 

 “The ‘Invest Kerala Global Summit’ is a pivotal initiative that underscores the state’s potential as a hub for high-impact investments, and we are proud to be a part of this transformative journey. We plan to invest an additional ₹850cr in the next 3 years to further strengthen Kerala’s healthcare landscape. Our expansion plans reflect our unwavering belief in Kerala’s potential as a leader in healthcare innovation and accessibility,” Founder Moopen stated.

Aster plans to significantly increase bed capacity in Kerala, targeting a total of 3,453 hospital beds by FY27. Currently, Aster operates seven hospitals in the state with 2,635 beds, accounting for 53% of the company's India revenue in the first nine months of FY25.

The expansion will include two new greenfield projects including Aster Capital Trivandrum with 454 beds and Aster MIMS Kasaragod with 264 beds  

Additionally, Aster Medcity will expand to 962 beds by FY27, having recently added 100 beds in Q3 FY25.
