Apollo Hospitals Opens Third Cancer Center in Chennai

Apollo Hospitals has launched its third cancer center in Chennai, located in Vanagaram, aiming to enhance access to cancer treatment for patients in the city and surrounding areas.

The new center is equipped with Tamil Nadu’s first Elekta Harmony Pro radiation therapy technology, which was introduced to improve treatment precision.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian inaugurated the facility and said, “Apollo Cancer Centres continue to lead in bringing advanced cancer care to Tamil Nadu, expanding both nationally and globally. The Vanagaram center is a key step forward in our collective fight against cancer.”

The facility offers diagnostic, surgical, and radiation oncology services.

Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, said, “This advanced technology reduces the burden on patients by bringing high-quality oncology services closer to home.”

The new facility also houses a team of oncologists, pathologists, and allied health professionals.

Dr Prathap C Reddy, Founder & Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, underlined the expansion’s impact, stating, “This new center will significantly enhance access to quality cancer care for patients in Chennai and surrounding areas.”
