Apollo Hospitals has announced the elevation of Karan Thakur to the position of Group Vice President – Corporate Affairs & Sustainability.
This move highlights the organization’s continued focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, sustainability, and healthcare policy.
Previously serving as Vice President of sustainability, ESG, and Public Affairs, Thakur has played a significant role in leading initiatives focused on environmental responsibility and stakeholder engagement.
He has also held leadership positions such as General Manager of Operations and Public Affairs at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, and Technical Advisor of Climate and Health at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
With an extensive background in healthcare operations, public policy, and sustainability, Thakur has been involved in multiple policy-driven healthcare initiatives.
His expertise spans climate and health, public-private partnerships, and advocacy, areas crucial to healthcare institutions navigating ESG frameworks.
Thakur, an Eisenhower Global Fellow, and a Chevening Gurukul Fellow, brings his global exposure and policy insights to his new role.
His appointment is expected to bolster Apollo Hospitals’ corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability efforts.
