The primary objective of this partnership is to deliver expert healthcare services to patients throughout India within the convenience of their homes, with options for in-clinic, at-home, and online services.
The utilisation of AI technology ensures precise tracking of individual movements, making physiotherapy more accessible by extending clinic hours from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
In addition to offering in-person physiotherapy services, Apollo Clinic is conducting regular camps at its societies and clinics. These camps feature AI-based posture assessment tests developed by Fix Health's team of engineers from prestigious institutions including IIT Bombay and BITS Pilani.
During these assessments, patients are asked to assume two positions while an expert uses the Fix Health app on a mobile phone to capture their posture and movements. The app automatically employs AI to assess the patient's postural health and delivers a comprehensive report via WhatsApp in under a minute.
Notably, Apollo Clinic has already employed Fix Health's technology for posture and ergonomic assessments of corporate desk job workers. The results have been eye-opening. With more than 25% of individuals found to have a forward neck posture of 11 degrees, indicating a potential early risk of neck and back pain.
Leveraging Fix Health's extensive network of over 70 physiotherapists, Apollo Clinic is offering physiotherapy services for over 250 conditions and across more than 10 treatment areas.
These services include a wide range of ailments, ranging back and neck pain, shoulder and knee pain, post-operative rehabilitation, adult and paediatric neurology rehabilitation, and pre-and post-pregnancy care.
Fix Health, known initially as YourPhysio and headquartered in Nagpur, was established in March 2020 by founders Ashutosh Mundhada and Sheetal Mundhada. It stands as India's pioneering AI-assisted online physiotherapy program, seamlessly blending the knowledge of experienced physiotherapists with advanced AI technology to provide highly efficient pain relief solutions in the comfort of home.
Apollo Clinic has had a few other collaborations in the past in the field of AI.
Back in September 2020, Apollo Clinic partnered with Niramai Health Analytix, a pioneering AI-based breast cancer screening company in India. This collaboration aimed to provide customers with contactless and privacy-sensitive breast cancer screening services.
In July 2022, Apollo partnered with ConnectedLife, a Singapore-based company focusing on integrating Apollo's AICVD cardiovascular risk assessment tool with ConnectedLife's digital wellness solutions. By merging AI and ML with user-friendly and dependable risk prediction tools, this collaboration aimed to offer valuable insights for early intervention and proactive healthcare management.
