The state has already generated substantial data on disease incidence through digital healthcare solutions, aiding underserved populations.
Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav emphasized the transformative potential of Deep Tech in addressing communicable and non-communicable diseases (NCDs), at a recently held event,
Minister Yadav highlighted the challenges of achieving equitable and accessible healthcare by pointing to the geographic, demographic, and income disparities in Andhra Pradesh.
“Ensuring health for all is a daunting task, especially with a significant portion of the population residing in rural and tribal areas,” he said.
While efforts to control communicable diseases like diarrhea, malaria, and dengue continue, the increasing prevalence of NCDs driven by changing lifestyles poses a significant challenge.
Traditional approaches, the minister noted, have had limited success in curbing these dual threats.
further, Minister Yadav underscored the role of AI and ML in transforming healthcare delivery.
Deep Tech tools, he explained, can analyze vast datasets to identify disease patterns, predict outbreaks, suggest preventive measures, and recommend precise treatment protocols.
“By leveraging these tools, we can move toward data-driven planning and efficient resource allocation,” he said.

The profiling of millions of citizens under screening programs has provided critical insights into health trends, making targeted interventions possible.
The minister highlighted the potential of the Medical Information Robo Assistant (MIRA) to alleviate the burden on medical professionals.
MIRA, an AI-powered tool, can interact with patients, address queries, and provide information, helping mitigate the shortage of skilled healthcare workers.
“This tool is expected to revolutionize patient care and reduce the workload on medical staff,” Yadav said.
Concluding his address, the Health Minister reiterated the need to embrace technology for a healthier Andhra Pradesh.
“It is time to integrate Deep Tech into the healthcare sector to address our evolving needs effectively,” he remarked.
