The IT Minister noted that AI in healthcare is not just about technology. It is about transforming lives.
In a recent event, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Telangana Minister for Industries & IT, said that artificial intelligence (AI) would make healthcare more accessible to people.
The IT Minister noted that AI in healthcare is not just about technology. It is about transforming lives.
“AI in healthcare is not just about technology; it’s about transforming lives. By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, we can enhance diagnostics, personalize treatment, and ensure better outcomes, ultimately making healthcare more accessible and effective for every individual. Together, we are paving the way for a healthier future," the Minister added.
Moreover, aligning with the IT Minister, Janaki Yarlagadda, BCS Chairman, said, "AI is the catalyst for a new frontier across every sector, driving innovation and efficiency. As we integrate AI into our daily lives, we empower individuals and organisations to unlock remarkable potential”.
This technology not only enhances productivity but also enriches the human experience, allowing us to focus on creativity, empathy, and progress, Chairman Yarlagadda noted.
Last month, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the state government is considering a new initiative to create digital health profiles for all citizens.
He said this move would significantly aid doctors in providing timely and effective treatment while also benefiting patients by consolidating their health information in one place.
CM Reddy explained that often patients do not recall their previous treatments, and doctors may not have the time for detailed patient histories.
During a recent high-level meeting, Health Minister C Damodar Raja Narasimha directed authorities to collect health data and digitally record it through a designated app.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Health Secretary Christina Z Chongthu, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare RV Karnan, Director of Medical Education Dr N Vani, and other senior health department officials.
The initiative aims to document individuals' personal details and health histories to better address Telangana’s population’s future health needs.
