Global professional services company, Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has acquired Nautilus Consulting, a leading digital healthcare consultancy based in the United Kingdom.
The financial terms of the acquisition, however, remain undisclosed. Reportedly, this move by Accenture will substantially reinforce its capabilities in digital transformation, implementation, and optimisation, particularly within the healthcare sector, both in the United Kingdom and on a global scale.
Renowned for its Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solutions, Nautilus Consulting will join Accenture's Health Strategy & Consulting team in the U.K.
The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between clinical users and IT solution providers. Their core focus is on enhancing patient experience and health outcomes whilst driving operational cost efficiencies within the healthcare sector.
Headquartered in London, the Nautilus team includes professionals from technical, managerial and commercial backgrounds both from the NHS and private sector.
Nautilus brings extensive experience in procurement and implementation of Oracle Health's Millennium platform (formerly Cerner), a leading digital record system provider in the healthcare sector.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Accenture, further strengthening its strategic alliance with Oracle Health. This partnership is set to significantly enhance Accenture's ability to deliver a unique end-to-end scalable digital transformation experience.
