In a move to strengthen its footprint in the over-the-counter (OTC) healthcare sector, Abhay HealthTech has announced its acquisition of MNP Healthcare, a manufacturer of consumer healthcare products.
This acquisition marks a significant expansion for Abhay HealthTech, bringing MNP Healthcare's portfolio, manufacturing facilities, and team into its operations.
While the acquisition cost was not disclosed, Abhay HealthTech stated that it will now control MNP’s range of brands, products, and manufacturing capabilities.
According to Abhay HealthTech's statement, this acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to increase its presence in the OTC market, which includes categories such as hygiene products, skin care, dietary supplements, women’s health, and baby care products.
"MNP Healthcare brings significant manufacturing expertise and a proven track record of delivering world-class products at competitive prices," said Apurv Modi, Co-founder and Managing Director of Abhay HealthTech.
With MNP Healthcare’s established network and reputation for quality manufacturing, the acquisition is expected to enhance Abhay HealthTech's offerings in the rapidly growing OTC healthcare segment.
MNP Healthcare, a subsidiary of MNP Meditech, has been manufacturing medical products for prominent pharmaceutical companies across India.
Abhay HealthTech’s existing portfolio already includes a range of branded consumer wellness products targeting routine health issues and proactive care solutions.
This acquisition is set to expand its reach further into areas such as rapid testing kits, hygiene, skincare, and wellness products for women and children.
As part of the acquisition, MNP Healthcare’s Directors, Mohanlal Yadav, and Naveen Pathak, will join Abhay HealthTech’s advisory board, providing guidance on operational and strategic growth.
Abhay HealthTech emphasized that MNP's manufacturing expertise is expected to bring added value, particularly in scaling up production and ensuring high standards across its OTC product line.
Abhay HealthTech’s acquisition strategy underlines its aim to fortify its consumer healthcare segment and expand product accessibility. The company sees MNP's integration as key to its broader vision.
“This acquisition is not just about expanding our product range but ensuring quality and accessibility across vital OTC categories,” Abhay HealthTech stated.
