This health facility also known as NURA health center also screens for lifestyle disorders.

Japanese firm Fujifilm Corporation has launched another health screening facility in Gurugram that has well-equipped systems utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to screen and evaluate for cancer and lifestyle disorders in India.

Named NURA health center, the facility can effectively screen for a total of 10 common cancers, that includes breast cancer, oral cancer, cervical cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, laryngeal cancer, esophageal cancer, and early signs of leukemia.

In February of 2021, Fujifilm opened its first NURA health center in Bengaluru. Another one is scheduled to launch in Mumbai. The firm has plans to lay out more NURA health centers across India with an investment of more than $200 million. A package of full-body screening costs Rs. 18,000 at NURA and the reports are made accessible in a short time of 120 minutes.

Very well-known for delivering photographic films, Fujifilm has effectively ventured into clinical imaging and diagnostics equipment, pharmaceutical drugs, cosmetics, regenerative medicine, biologics manufacturing, optical gadgets, stem cell, and others. Dr Tausif Ahmed Thangalvadi, medical director at NURA, said the goal of these health centers are to incorporate the Japanese culture of prioritizing the importance of health screening in India.

However, he stated that this is because Indians do not screen for cancer, resulting in a late diagnosis for the majority of patients and a low survival rate.

The NURA center is equipped with various medical devices by Fujifilm that includes CT scan and mammography, along with a medical IT system based on AI that assists doctors with the interpretation of the results, offering Japanese-style high-quality health screening services. People of various age groups have shared positive experience with the screening service and other services that NURA provides, especially the convenience of quick and easy accessibility of the results and hearing them directly from a doctor after the screening.
